Last week, I was feeling horrible. I had no energy and had weighed in at 339, my highest since losing 60 lbs two years ago, and 10 lbs higher than my last appointment in early January.
I also noticed that my edema was getting worse.
On Saturday, I was refilling my plastic medications case. I have one of those cases with the days of the week printed on them. It works for me. But, when I opened the bottle for the diuretic I take, I saw that the pills were two different sizes. A new prescription had come in before I’d finished the old one, and my wife consolidated the bottles sometime after I had last reloaded my case.
The new pills were half the size of the old pills.
I have inquiries out to the mail-order place, but I have a feeling my doctor prescribed the wrong quantity. She’d tried to back me down last year and it didn’t work. I figure she must have looked at her notes from that time and just replicated the milligrams. We’ll see.
So, now I’m dropping my water weight. I’m down 14 lbs since last week, which gives you an idea not only of how bad it was for me, but how dangerous as well. To be honest, there were pains that were starting to scare me, and I nearly went to the ER on Friday.
(Lemme alone, Stacey, I was trying to save the $100 co-pay we don’t have)
So, this week, I feel 100% better. I’ve been peeing non-stop, and drinking my water as best I can. I think most of it is gone. It was a beautiful day here yesterday, so I took a short walk right after work, in my work clothes, just to make sure I got it done.
